Kansas City pork dry rub

Kansas City Style Pork Seasoning

Combine the following; yields about 1 cup (enough to cover at least two racks of Kansas City style baby back ribs). I've also found that it's fantastic for making pulled pork from a Boston butt.

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne

Expires whenever the brown sugar expires, if kept under the same conditions (hopefully air tight and dry).
